At the meeting of the Scientific Board of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS the report of the department №2 for the year 2018 was listened. Head of Department of the Institute, Ph.D. in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Yadigar Imamverdiyev informed about the scientific research activities of the department, lectures at scientific seminars and conferences, publication of articles in well-known scientific journals and others.

He noted that in the field of information security problems, researches were carried out on grant projects : “Development Methods and Algorithms for Ensuring Information Security in Big Data and Some Applications” funded by the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan  and“DeepOil-ML: Development of new technologies for Intelligentl Oil Fields based on Deep Learning “funded by SOCAR Science Foundation.

Head of departmnet gave information about research works on the development of methods and algorithms for synthesis of e-signature infrastructure in the e-government, approaches to information security management, as well as development of methods and algorithms for evaluation of computer network security and detection of botnets.

Speaking about scientific and innovation activities, the speaker noted that a number of grant projects have been implemented and preparatory works for the IV Republican conference on “Topical multidisciplinary scientific-practical problems of information security" have been carried out.

Y. Imamverdiyev noted that the employees of the department had 15 theses in scientific-technical conferences, seminars and symposiums and 33 articles were published in well-known scientific journals.

The scientist gave detailed information about the scientific-pedagogical and scientific-organizational activities in the department, the promotion of scientific-practical results in mass media and the measures implemented within international scientific cooperation.

The exchange of views on the report was held, and many questions were answered. By the decision of the scientific board, the department report was considered satisfactory.
