On October 26, the next meeting of the Dissertation Board was held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.

Chairman of the board, academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, academician Rasim Alguliev informed the participants on the agenda. He said that today's session is dedicated to defining official opponents, leading organizations and defendance date on two dissertation works in the specialty 3338.01 - "System Analysis, Management and Information Processing".

Firstly Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Nadir Aghayev and PhD ,associate professor  Nazli Hasanova -official opponents of the dissertation on "Methods and algorithms for the evaluation of researchers and scientific publications" by Rahila Hasanova  and the leading organization- Institute of Control  Systems of ANAS has been approved.

Then corresponding member of ANAS, doctor of technical sciences, professor Masuma Mammadova and PhD, associate Professor Gulara Muradova –official opponents of the dissertation on the theme "Development of methods and algorithms for the measurement of interstate integration processes in the electronic governmet" by Gulnara Nabibayova and the leading organization - Department of Information Technology and Programming of Sumgait State University.

The defense of the dissertation work is scheduled for December 13, 2018.

Then, academician R. Alguliyev spoke about the application of anti-plagiarism systems to check the authenticity of doctoral dissertations. According to the scientist, implementation of these systems in scientific research and educational institutions is of particular importance in terms of improving the quality of education, the creation of a favorable infrastructure for the development of science, the provision of reliable information confirming the authenticity of scientific works and the provision of transparency in the society. He also noted that the use of these systems is an effective way to combat copyright infringement and unauthorized use of intellectual property.
