A new feature of WhatsApp was discovered in an early test alpha version of the application, which is not yet available for installation by a wide range of users. In the settings of the application, a new option appears for Touch ID or Face ID if there is support for Face ID on the smartphone.

After activation, the application at each opening begins to request additional authentication, adding an extra level of security.
