Robot-gardener helps to care for indoor plants July 18, 2018 | 10:58 / Technological innovations

The company Vincross has created a robot-gardener who cares about a house plant if it is forgotten to water.

The new robot is a modification of the already existing robot Hexa, similar to a small crab. The creation of a fashion designer was inspired by a house plant that died without sunlight and water. It was decided to create a robot that will allow plants to move around and find places with favorable conditions.

A modified robot can move a plant to light or shadow, depending on its needs. Hexa-gardener also "stomps" with his limbs, when the plant needs watering, and dances when it is "happy" (although it is not yet clear what makes him happy). The robot also tries to express emotions, allowing the indoor plant to show its affection for the master.

The developers noted that the Hexa mod was designed primarily as an art object, installation, and not as a functional object for everyday life.
