As it is known, according to the decision of the Presidium of ANAS dated January 15, 2003, PhD exams in informatics in Republic are held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS. PhD exams in the Republic of Azerbaijan started on June 21 at the Institute’s Training Innovation Center. Various courses have been organized at the Center since February of the current year to prepare for these exams. The courses are equipped with the necessary knowledge and practical skills in accordance with the curriculum. The researchers living in the regions of the country have been involved in remote courses through the Internet.

On July 4, PhD students from Ganja and surrounding regions took a PhD exam in Informatics in  remote form. The exam was attended about by 40 researchers.

Examination process was also monitored online by the video-surveillance system of the Institute's Distant Learning Center and experts assigned to Ganja .
