Next scientific seminar of department No.4 was held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.

Opening the event, deputy director on technology, head of department, PhD Rashid Alakbarov said that the seminar was dedicated to the topic of "Block chain technology: current state, development and application areas"

Ogtay Alakbarov, the chief specialist of the report, gave detailed information on the essence, perspectives, technological bases and application areas of block chain technology. He said that Block chain is a "Distributed Accounts System" of a group of chains formed of a cryptographic combination of blocks of different information.  According to him, although this term was first used in 1991, the block chain theory was founded by Stefan Const in 2000.

The reporter also gave  information about the principles of block chain technology. Network width , its distribution, security, privacy, protection of rights and so forth.  are principles of this technology.

He also talked about the structure of the block chain, its working principle and application areas of this technology. Block chain is widely used in financial, e-government, health, insurance, energy, education, services, sports, entertainment and other areas, he said.
