Human factors in software engineering investigated April 19, 2018 | 12:00 / Conferences, assemblies

At the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, the next scientific seminar on "Conceptual look at software engineering: human factor" was held. Senior specialist Tamilla Bayramova, gave detailed information about software engineering, team management, organizing and role models, team communication, software project management certificates, and so on.

The goal of software engineering (SE) is to create quality software systems with budget, time, human resources and technical means and it is important to have a team of highly skilled and disciplined teams in the development of such systems.

Saying that there are basic principles such as team management, role modeling, and communication, Bayramova underlined that the selection of the right model for organizing the team is actual.

One of the main problems in the creation of a successful team is the proper organization of the relationships between people. As the number of team members grows, the number of connections that may be possible between them increases.

It also includes organizational (X-theory), open architecture (Z-theory), chaos (Y-theory), guidelines based management, and so on. models, and spoke about the features, advantages and disadvantages of these models.

It also involves the organization of work with people in the risk group when developing the Software. In most cases, automated processes are being implemented to reduce possible risks, new work techniques and methods are introduced, and human factor is not taken into account. However, the formation of a relaxed psychological atmosphere in the collective, while avoiding possible risks, significantly increases the productivity of the IT-company: "That's why project managers should be professional and certified professionals."

"When projecting international certification, project management professionals take into account factors such as professional knowledge, experience and habits, and ethical code-related activities”, she noted. By obtaining a specialist certificate, his experience and professionalism in project management are endorsed by a reputable body, enjoying professional and career-raising qualifications, internationally recognized qualifications. When companies use certified project managers, demand for professional professionals in project management, productivity, rating and competitiveness increases.

Speaker also spoke about certification programs of the International Association of Project Management and certification programs of the US Project Management Institute and Code of Ethics of Software Engineering. In 1997, the Code of Ethics for Software Engineers (IEEE) was developed by the Association of Accounts Engineers (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in order to regulate SE's relationship with society, customer, management and employees. The eight-code principle is designed for professional engineers-programmers, managers, teachers, project managers, SE field-mates and students at the same time.
