Amazon is issued patent for delivery drones that can react to gestures and voice March 30, 2018 | 12:00 / Interesting information

The company Amazon patented the drone, capable of responding to the person's gestures and voice commands.

Recently, the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) approved the Amazon patent application, which was filed as early as the summer of 2016, and which deals with a new technology for drones (perhaps for future carrier drones). The document, according to New Atlas, describes drones, capable of responding to gestures and the voice of a person. These signals will be read by light and sound sensors and compared with the existing database. Then, after analyzing the team, the drone will either fly closer (if the client, for example, beckons him with a gesture) or, conversely, flies aside (for example, if a person chases him away with a gesture). However, what specific commands will react such drones, Amazon does not specify.

However, while it's just a question of the patent and it's not known, will such technology ever be used in Amazon drones. Although the company is actively developing the idea of the service of drones-couriers, at this time it is unclear whether they will (and when) they are put into operation (for this, Amazon, of course, will need to get the appropriate permissions).

In February, it became known about the Samsung patent, which described the "flying screen", capable of responding to the gestures and voice commands of the user, as well as track his face and eye movements.
