At the meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, the work carried out by the Institute for the execution of the tasks arising from the decision of the Presidium of ANAS dated 22 September 2017 "Strategic road map on the key sectors of the economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan" was discussed.

“In the "Strategic Road Map on Development of Telecommunication and Information Technologies in the Republic of Azerbaijan", which includes "Strategic Road Map on National Economy and Main Sectors of the Economy", approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a number of tasks were submitted to the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, Deputy Director for Technology, PhD Rashid Alakbarov noted.

The scientist briefed on the work done on the "Modernization of Technology Education with Business Participation" of the "Strategic Road Map". He noted that the creation of the "Technology Education Group" was carried out in order to ensure that graduates who completed higher education in information technologies were hired on a competitive basis in the same year.

measures have been taken on  Investigating educational standards on ICT specialties in the field of "Investigating shortcomings in teaching technology and proposing appropriate proposals", Elimination of shortcomings in ICT teaching and development of relevant proposals, Additions and amendments to the ICT training program for masters, doctoral and Ph.D students of ANAS, R. Alakbarov said.

The Deputy Director also informed about the work carried out on the topic "Increasing knowledge and skills in the field of ICT, using ICT in the education system". The scientist pointed out that work on "Improving digital education for higher ICT skills and knowledge", "Improvement courses", "Knowledge and skills assessment" are being pursued.
