A joint scientific seminar of Department No.17 with Public Relations Department was held at the Institute of Information Technology.

Academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the institute, head of the department, academician Rasim Alguliev, who opened the event, said that the seminar was devoted to the discussion of the dissertation on the topic "Methods and algorithms for analysis of information war technologies in the wiki environment".The scientist pointed out the relevance of the issue and noted that Wikipedia, the world's most comprehensive and giant virtual encyclopedia, has become an important tool in the world of information communication. He noted that in today's world, the analysis of the problems of information warfare (IT) technologies in the wiki environment, the study of the main scientific-theoretical problems of wiki metrics are of great importance.

Then, sector chief of department No.17 Irada Alakbarova spoke about the research. She said that the dissertation was based on 4 chapters, main results, 154 titles of literature and supplement. 21 scientific works on the subject, 2 books and 2 express-information were published.

I.Alakbarova noted that the main purpose of the dissertation is to develop methodologies and algorithms for the automatic detection and analysis of information-war technologies of the Azerbaijani people on the national-cultural values, the protection of historical truths and the wiki environment.

The speaker provided information on the work done to achieve the objective of the dissertation. She said that IM technologies in the wiki environment were analyzed and categorized as ways of solving problems arising from their realization, as well as the analysis of hidden social networks in the wiki environment, methods and algorithms for the effective use of multimedia resources in the IM.

Then she spoke about the current situation, problems and research objects of wiki metrics research. She said that wiki metrics surveys included statistical analysis of Wikipedia, analysis of wiki-user contexts, analysis of social networks and users' reputation, including wiki-content quality in the wiki environment.
