The Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) has imposed a large fine on the Facebook social network for a number of violations of the Organic Data Protection Act. This is reported by TASS with reference to the statement of the department. It is noted that there are three serious violations that are associated with the use of personal information of Facebook customers. Because of this, AEPD imposes a fine of 1.2 million euros on the social network. It is also indicated that the social network uses protected user data for advertising without obtaining explicit consent from customers. AEPD noted that users of Facebook "are not informed that their information will be processed using Cookie".
