A meeting with the Director of the Global Computing Center (GCC) of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Professor Munki Choy, General  Manager of the GCC, Professor YanDuk Park, GCC Manager Hyunjiang Kwon, and Executive Director of the Research and Development Commercialization Center of the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute  Dr. Jeoung Hyeong Park was held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, on September 11.

The meeting was attended by the deputy director of technology, PhD  Rashid Alakbarov, scientific secretary Madina Saidova, corresponding members of ANAS, professor Ramiz Aliguliyev, PhD in technical sciences Vugar Musayev and PhD in technical sciences Farhad Yusifov.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss technology commercialization and prospects for cooperation.

Opening the event, R. Alakbarov informed about the main activities of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS. He spoke about the scientific researches carried out in various directions of information technologies and information society at the Institute.

The scientist who informed about the Institute's Educational-Innovation Center said that all the doctoral and dissertators of the country are involved in the subject of Informatics and doctoral examinations.

The scientist also informed the guests about AzScienceNet science computer network of the Institute. He noted that AzScienceNet provided high-quality Internet services to academia's scientific institutions and organizations and played an important role in integrating Azerbaijani science into world science as a national operator for science and education networks.

Director of KAIST's Global Commerce Center Munki Choy stated that the main purpose of the visit to Azerbaijan is to establish cooperation in the field of information technologies, personnel and experience exchange. His scientific institution is implementing projects not only in the field of ICT but also in other areas, in the field of technology commercialization, M. Choy noted.

Then the General Manager of the Global Commercialization Center of Korea Advanced Science and Technology Institute Yan Duk Park made a presentation on the activities of Institute and Hyeong Canq Kwon on the activities of the Electronic and Telecommunications Research Institute.

Also, the creation of the National Science and Technology Information Service, the Internet of Things, Big Data, cybersecurity technologies and so on. was discussed at the meeting.
