Report of the Department No. 2 for the first half of 2017 was discussed at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS. The senior research fellow of the department, PhD, associate professor Ramiz Shikhaliyev delivered the report and gave information about scientific researchers. Conceptual models for e-government information security, private sector information security, and intelligent monitoring of computer networks are offered at the department, he noted.

According to him, the department maintains a new, more effective monitoring of network security, synthesis problems of e-signature infrastructure, mobile signature and electronic payment application, information security incidents management metrics, reasons for occurrence of software vulnerabilities, manifestations and detection, Methods of machine learning and detection of harmful programs by the application of deep neural networks were researched.

Speaking about the scientific-innovative activity of the department, the reporter said that a number of works on AzScienceNet Information Security and Monitoring Service and AzScienceCERT were implemented.  He also noted that with the financial support of the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a grant project entitled "Development of Methods and Algorithms for Ensuring Information Security in Big Data Environment and Some Applications thereof" has been implemented together with department No.13.

R. Shikhaliyev noted that 17 articles were published in national and international journals, reviews to 23 conference materials and some articles were prepared by the department staff.

He also informed about scientific-pedagogical and scientific-organizational activities of the department staff, the publication of scientific articles in the international and Republican conferences,  journals recommended by the AR Supreme Attestation Commission and promotion of scientific and practical results in mass media.

In the end, there was an exchange of views on the subject, many questions were answered.
