The semiannual report of Department No.  3 of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS for 2017 was discussed. Delivering the report head of department Tahmasib Fataliyev informed about the results of the work done over half a year. He noted that researches on the problems of e-science formation were carried out, researches on modern scientific-theoretical problems of e-science continued. Also, the analysis of indicators characterizing the formation and development of e-science was conducted.

According to T.Fataliyev, advanced e-science projects at the international level were studied and the issues of e-science's efficient development based on EGI-Europe's clear infrastructure were discussed. Specific features of the development of civil science, influence mechanisms of modern technologies and social media tools were analyzed and the possibilities of using open source software were demonstrated.

At the department the issues of ensuring the security of e-science were researched, relevant recommendations for creating an e-service system that supports its efficient, uninterrupted and reliable operation were developed.  Perspectives of   Data science for  the collection , storage and intellectual processing of large-scale scientific data were studied.

Speaking about the results of the department's research activities, the reporter noted that some articles were published and discussed at scientific conferences.

There was an extensive exchange of views, opinions and suggestions.
