Application issues of FileSender in AzScienceNet are discussed March 13, 2017 | 02:10 / Conferences, assemblies

The next scientific seminar of the Department No. 4 of the Institute of Information Technology was held. The event was opened by the Deputy Director of the institute, PhD, associate professor Rashid Alakbarov, he said that the seminar had been devoted to the introduction of AzScienceNet FileSender.

The employee of the Institute-Samad Dursunov stressed that FileSender application is developed in 2009 TERENA organization (Trans-European Research and Education Networking Association) TF-Storage Group by the support of AARNET, UNINETT, HEAnet and Surfnet research and education networks  for  the exchange of large data files as medical information, astronomical observations, genome sequence etc. were created. He noted that the program can send files with a capacity of up to 500 GB via a web browser to any e-mail address.

Explaining the principle of FileSender which allows authorized users to send large files safe and easy S.Dursunov gave detailed information about the Apache web server, SimpleSAMLphp and other programs.

The report was discussed, questions were answered.
