Head of the Department No. 16 Gulnara Nabibayova presented the annual report for the current year at the Meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Information Technology.

The reporter noted that in the reporting year investigations were conducted on the e-government development and terminology of computer science, web-technologies and the introduction of the Azerbaijani language in the virtual space, as well as problems with the formation of Internet media.

According to her, in the noted areas methods and algorithms were developed for the measurement of integtation between countries in e-government environment, method for the development of information systems terminology has been proposed on the basis of establishment of the ontology in the given subject matter, problems of Azerbaijani language graphics transliteration to the English language graphics has been investigated. As well as, investigations were conducted on the monitoring and evaluation mechanisms of the Internet-media resources.

Then, head of department presented the report of www.ict.az for the current year and said that a new version of the site (including mobile version) was developed and implemented in regular operation. She also informed the participants that the statistical data prepared on different indicators.

She spoke about work conducted within the framework of scientific-innovative activites. G.Nabibbeyova informed about projects implemented to develop and improve web-sites of institutes and organizations of ANAS.

Concept of national terminology information system was developed and established, technological support of official www.science.gov.az portal of ANAS and web-sites located in the Data Center of AzScienceNet science-computer network were conducted, as well as, work was done within the framework of operation of  the Multimedia Gallery, she noticed.

Moreover, articles were published in prestigious scientific journals, reports were delivered in international and national level conferences, she said.

Head of department gave brief information about promotion of scientific-research and innovation activities in mass media, interdepartmental seminars,  development of international scientific cooperation, as well as,  involvement of young staff.

In the end, there was an exchange of views on the subject, many questions were answered.
