On September 22, a meeting dedicated to the discussion of the project “strategic roadmap for the National Economy and its key sectors" of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences was held at the main building of ANAS.

Academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, academician Rasim Alguliyev made a presentation on the topic “Knowledge economy and information and communication technologies: opportunities, prospects, problems and their solutions ways”. First, the scientist provided detailed information about the goals and objectives of state policy in the field of the information society building. The structural reforms have been realized for the establishment of an information society in the country, and the legislative framework and technical infrastructure, favorable investment environment have also been formed, he stated.
