Scientific seminar of Department No.1 of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS was held.

sector chief of the institute PhD Rena Gasimova presented a report on "E-library concept features" and spoke about the e-library development problems, its organizational principles and the main tasks of the national e-libraries and etc. Technologies applied in the creation of e-libraries offers a wide range of opportunities for large-scale data management and processing.

"Nowadays, E-Libraries play an important role in the creation of a new information infrastructure", she stated. E-Libraries are responsible for the socialization of cultural and scientific segment of the electronic information platform, she added.

Mrs. Gasimova also provided information about the technological, technical and legal problems of creation of electronic libraries. These problems are associated with the methods of transferring descriptions of electronic documents, and digitization of traditional publications, and their copyright provision.

The seminar participants exchanged views on the subject. The reporter responded to their questions.
