A talking humanoid robot Pepper was officially admitted in the school in the Japanese city of Waseda in Fukushima Prefecture. The device will study together with children for the first time in the world. The school on this occasion arranged the opening ceremony at which students called for the maximum use of the unique chance of communicating with the robot because it is useful to them in the future life.

Pepper himself has stated that he "never thought it would be accepted into a human school" and promised to do their best.

The robot is able to speak not only in Japanese but also in English, so it is intended mainly to use in the classroom in English.
