The Institute of Information Technology of ANAS held the meeting of the Dissertation Council. Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Masuma Mammadova opened the event and informed about the agenda. The meeting was devoted to the discussion of the dissertation work to get scientific degree of PhD.

Afterwards, the plaintiff  Ali Amooji brought to the attention the relevance and purpose of the dissertation on the "Development of expert systems for the diagnosis of neurological diseases"  in the specialty 3338.01 - "System analysis, control and information processing", and the specified issues to reach.

The increase in the number of deaths as a result of the wrong diagnosis, large volumes of data obtained from MRI, and EEG SCAN, as well as the complexity of symptoms observed in neurological patients emerge the development of  intelligent systems, that support a doctor's diagnosis, Mrs.Amooji stated.

The dissertation aims at developing an expert system to appoint accurate diagnosis of neurological diseases, their forecast, at the same time, appointing a series of systematic treatments through the use of new methods and algorithms, he noted.

Then, discussions were held on the subject. Numerous questions were answered.

The reviewers of the dissertation - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Bayram Ibrahimov and PhD Shafagat Mahmudova made remarks and proposals.

At the end of the dissertation was recommended to be submitted for the next stage.
