Bibliometric (bibliometrics - application of mathematical and statistical methods to study the books, periodicals and scientific publications) analysis of the scientific studies of the employees of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS for 2014 was carried out.

In this regard, the chief sector, Ph.D. Nigar Ismayılova made a report at the seminar of the scientific board of the institute. She presented the statistics of scientific works of the employee of the Institute by languages, by their distribution according to directions and countries, as well as their types, and informed about the number of publications, published in prestigious journals of "WoS" and "Scopus", and conferences in 2014.

Reporter also demonstrated the statistics on scientific publications according to languages and informed about the articles published in English and Russian during 2014. As for her, the articles of researchers are mainly cited by the scientists from China, India, Australia, Malaysia, and South Korea.

The studies published in 2014 by the employees cover scientific-theoretical problems of the information society, developing an information culture, regulation of the Internet, information security, the use of Azerbaijani language in the virtual space, developing e-government and e-science, biometric technologies and so on.
