On May 29, Dissertation Board held an assembly at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.

The event was opened by the board chairman, Dr. prof. Alakbar Aliyev gave information about the agenda of the meeting. The event was dedicated to the defense of two theses to receive the degree of Doctor of Science in Technology in 3338.01 - "System analysis, control and information processing".

First, the scientific secretary of the Dissertation Board, PhD Ramiz Shikhaliyev introduced the thesis to the board members.

Then Almaz Aliyeva brought to the attention to the thesis on “Developing the computer model of efficient usage system of river water resources”, its urgency and objectives.

Later, the applicant answered numerous questions.

Scientific supervisor of the dissertation academician-secretary of ANAS, director of the institute Rasim Alguliyev expressed his opinions on the thesis.

R. Shikhaliyev informed about the thesis and a synopsis of comments briefly.

Official opponents of the dissertation – Dr. Ramiz Aliguliyev, and Dr. Lala Karimova made speeches and expressed the importance of the study, its scientific innovation, suggestions and comments.

Chief Engineer of the institute, PhD Rashid Alakbarov, Drs., Professors Mahammad Ahmadov, Javanshir Mammadov and Vidadi Musayev, and Dr., Associate Professor Nadir Aghayev, PhD Zarifa Jabrayilova, Firudin AghayevFarhad Yusifov, Gazanfar Orujov and others participated in the discussion.

After the final speech of the applicant the secret ballot was held, and it was decided to apply to the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of AR to receive the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences.
