Payment cards of hundreds of millions of Europeans are virtually helpless. Researchers from the University of Cambridge demonstrated the existence of serious deficiencies in the system of authorization of payment smart card standard, EMV (Europay, MasterCard, Visa). These cards are equipped with chips and operations require four-figures PIN-code, known only to the card holder. Circuit on the map has to check the code and confirm the operation. However, the EMV standard provides the ability to confirm the transaction by the personal signature of the buyer, rather than PIN-code...
