The U.S. Ministry of Security introduced new, clearer rules for checking laptops and other electronic devices crossing the border. Under such new rules, immigration and custom services of the United States have the right to inspect the contents of any electronic devices, including financial documents and the history of Web-browser, without any reason. Customs officers are required to complete the inspection within five days, and the immigration police - for a month. Over the last ten months the U.S. Customs have inspected about 1000 laptops and only in 46 cases have been thorough inspection…
