International Telecommunication Union (ITU) adopted a single standard for mobile phone chargers. With "Universal charger solution" Micro-USB interface it will be possible to single charge any cell phones of any manufacturer.

A proper deadline for the new standard implementing is not specified. Industry publications suggest that on a global scale it will happen in by 2012.
