Award ceremony of a group of scientists, teacher and specialists working in the field of communication and ICT, with “Şöhrət” (Glory), “Tərəqqi”(Progress), “Dövlət qulluğunda fərqlənməyə görə” (Medal for Distinguished Service of the State) medals, as well as honorary titles as “Əməkdar Elm Xadimi”, (Honoured Scientist ), “Əməkdar Müəllim”,(Honored teacher), “Azərbaycan Respublikasının əməkdar mühəndisi”(Honoured Engineer of AR) was held at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies.

Ali Abbasov gave short information about fulfillments in this field. He told about President Ilham Aliyev’s care and attention to this field.
Later, by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s order dated 1 December 2008, on awarding people working in the field of communication and information technologies with “Honored Engineer of AR”, as well as according his order dated 14 December 2009 on awarding people working in the field of ICT, 65 people have been awarded with certain orders medals, and honorary titles.
