The World Economic Forum 2014 is held on 10-12 September, 2014, Tianjin, People's Republic of China. The Minister of Communications and High Technology Ali Abbasov is representing Azerbaijan.

The summit discusses new technologies, application of scientific and technological achievements in economy, innovative entrepreneurship, in particular, ICT development, the impact of high-tech on economic development, and the role of government in these areas.

During the summit, the participants will be given detailed information about the reforms in the field of communications and variety of achievements of high-technology, as well as about the Eurasian Connectivity Alliance (EuraCA) established at the initiative of Trans-Eurasian Information Super Highway (TASIM) supported by the General Assembly of the United Nations resolutions.

In addition, the Minister will take part in the discussions of the session established jointly by the Commission for the Broadband Development under the UN Secretary-General, Davos, January 22, 2015, as well as in the discussions of conference exhibition "Bakutel-2014" to be organized by the International Telecommunications Union, Baku, December 2, 2015.
